CPDEducation and self-assessment

چکیده
Welcome to this section of Seizure, which will appear in each issue from now, and is dedicated to continuing professional development (CPD) and continuing medical education (CME). Our aim is to cover the subject matter of epileptology in a comprehensive series of updates over a three year period, using a ‘topic teaching’ approach. A specially commissioned review article will introduce each topic. Where appropriate this will be supplemented by one or more illustrative case histories. In areas where ‘experts’ may disagree we will endeavour to highlight controversy by commissioning an additional article with the alternative viewpoint. Each issue will also contain a self-assessment exercise. Recognising that our readers include members of professions allied to medicine, the section will be broad enough in scope so that any professional involved in the field of epilepsy should be able to find something useful in it. We are also aware that Seizure has an international readership, and this will be acknowledged in the content of the section under the guidance of the members of our editorial subgroup.
